Applications for the academic year 2020/21

If you would like to apply for the Intercollegiate Halls of Residence for the academic year 2020/21 you must contact your college directly as we do not accept direct applications* (please see the list on the right).


*with the exception of Eleanor Rosa House - if you wish to apply for Eleanor Rosa House please see below.

Students from all public colleges/universities in London are welcome to apply. Rooms will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Only rooms that are listed in the application form are available to book. We will start allocating rooms from June onwards.


Please note: First year Undergraduate students who will be studying at Queen Mary, University of London should apply via QMUL directly and not use this form.

You must be a full-time student with the University of London

Intercollegiate Halls are open to students (undergraduate and postgraduate) studying a full-time course at one of the colleges of the University of London listed on the right.

Regrettably, we are unable to offer short-term accommodation.

Gower Street self-contained apartments

If you wish to apply for one of the self-catered apartments in Gower Street please book a viewing by contacting the Property Management Unit (PMU) on pmu@london.ac.uk. There is no formal application procedure and the accommodation is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Housing for students with disabilities

We have a number of wheelchair accessible rooms at College Hall, International Hall and Garden Halls. To apply please email info.halls@london.ac.uk describing your circumstances and requirements. Please attach any medical documentation to your email as this will help us assess your application quicker. The rooms are offered on a first come first served basis.

Housing for students with families

All of our family accommodation is now full.  You may apply on the waiting list here, please note that the place would only become available if any of the residents give notice to leave.
